There was an ending to the Wizard of Oz that never got told. It seems that the Tin Man and the Straw Man were married in Vermont and through artificial insemination, bore a son through Dorothy. This son, grew up in Colorado after the vaudeville troupe was evicted from Kansas for spending the FEMA money paid for the tornado.
Many years passed and the son grew up to attend Manual High School and encounter significant adjustment problems due to his looks. Suffice it to say he pursued a life of substance abuse and was convicted more than once for possessing pot.
The ending of the story is sad but true. He attempted to reunite with his biological mother but even though he had the red slippers could not find a woman to fill his mother's shoes. He ended up drinking margaritas out of them.
Last time the son was seen he was at Tagawa Farms Nursery where he replaced the Wooden Indian in front of the nursery. Little children threw rocks at him and dogs used him as a place to relieve themselves. Finally, he was acquired by the Town of Parker as a symbol for the D.A.R.E. program to teach children the dangers of marijuana and other drugs. Negotiations are underway with Jackalope Pottery to provide a permanent home where he can be potted in peace.
