Community-wide garage sales approaching

Bargain hunters will have plenty of options to choose from this month in the Castle Pines and Castle Rock areas.

Castle Pines North Master Association (CPNMA) will be holding its eighth annual Community-Wide Garage Sale from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 16 and 17. The event draws thousands of visitors from around the metro area, according to Lane Roberts with CPNMA.

"We have people from all over who come to this," she said. "We have over 30 neighborhoods here, so there's a lot to choose from."

The event has its own Web site in which viewers can see which houses will be hosting garage sales and what kinds of items will be up for sale, Roberts said. A map also is offered to help navigate the neighborhoods.

Not to be outdone, the Metzler Ranch HOA in Castle Rock is hosting its annual neighborhood garage sale event. The community-wide garage sale also will be held from about 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 16 and 17.
