The ballots have been counted and Castle Pines North (CPN) officially has nine new city representatives.
To celebrate this major milestone of the newly incorporated city, an election party was held on Friday, February 15, to congratulate the newly elected officials and thank campaign supporters. More than 80 CPN residents gathered to raise their glasses and toast the new mayor, clerk, treasurer and city council members.
"Every one here tonight played such an important part in this election," said
Maureen Shul
, Mayor-elect. "To you and all those throughout our community who got involved in the incorporation process, we thank you and now look forward to working together to make our new city the best and strongest it can be."
Fifty-five percent of registered active voters in CPN (2,695 residents) voted in this important mail ballot election on February 12.
Congratulations to: Doug Gilbert, Treasurer; Chris Dooley and Jennifer Havercroft, Ward 1; Chip Coppola and Kim Hoffman, Ward 2; Ron Clark and David Neely, Ward 3.
Congratulations also to Mayor Maureen Shul and City Clerk Carl Kollmar.
The new CPN city officials are expected to be sworn in sometime in March.
