The new City of Castle Pines North's interim Building Permitting and Inspection Services department is now open for business.
Located in the Village Square Shopping Center, the new office will assist residents and businesses with a range of building permitting and inspection services previously provided through Douglas County.
Eric Dille
, president, and
Greg Bichelhaupt
, vice president of operations for B&D Professional Builders in Castle Pines North, received the city's first building permit today during a small ceremony. The firm is remodeling a local office.
"Launching this department is another important milestone in the growth of our new city," says Mayor
Maureen A. Shul
, who presented a commemorative certificate to Dille and Bichelhaupt. "We look forward to continuing to expand the range of services provided to our citizens."
The interim Building Permitting and Inspection Services department is led by senior planner Sam Bishop. Office hours are 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday at Castle Pines Executive Suites, Suite 210, 7437 Village Square Lane.
Residents can also call 303-785-6515 or e-mail cpncommunitydevelopment@ch2m.com to obtain key forms and information.
Typical projects that require a building permit include new residential and commercial construction, residential additions and remodels, basement finishes, and pools, spas and decks.
City Council selected Englewood, Colo.-based CH2M HILL OMI to be the interim service delivery provider.
Incorporated Nov. 6, 2007, Castle Pines North is a city of about 10,000 people located about 20 miles south of Denver. To learn more about Castle Pines North, visit www.cpnhoa.org.
