Have you heard of the little coffee shop next to the feed store on Perry St. in downtown Castle Rock?
If you haven't maybe it is time you should. The owner, Cyndi Hamilton is one of those people that will always make you feel welcome and invited. I went by here a few weeks ago with my mom while she was in town visiting and to be honest I didn't realize that it was a coffee shop until Iwent inside.
When you walk in it has the cutest little set up with a ton of charm. There are many local artists work for sale that comes in the form of photography, pottery, metal cut out wall pieces, jewelry, soaps, and more.
There is a fire place where you can sit in front of and enjoy the peacefulness. The coffee bar serves hot coffees and I believe tea that is really quite good. They have competitive prices and they do not charge you for extra anything.
I hate it when you go down to Starbucks or another big coffee house and they charge you almost .50 cents extra for soy and that is even if you want just a little to use as your cream. This place has a large front and side porch with tons of cushioned chairs where you can hang out and enjoy the view.
I love this place and even though I am one of the artist that has her work for sale in this store I will always go back.
The EVENT
The Village Buzz is having a Fiesta open house on May 17, 2008 from 12-5 and is being catered by La Espiga Mexican bakery and restaurant. This event will feature local artist on the porch with tons of beautiful work for sale, live music, face painting, and a piñata for kids too.
If you can't stop in on that day... stop in any other day to enjoy that perfect cup of coffee.
See you there!
