Blog Entry 26 of 112 GreatAmericanBlog
This is a blog designed to be a conduit for a broad range of Colorado bloggers who have something to say - on current events, society in general, even some creative writing. I cover Southeast and Southwest Denver in general, so I'll write a lot about those areas, and would like to hear from folks there too. But I'll range widely in the creative sense, and you should too. So hit the keyboard and start blogging! Daniel Smith

Can't wait to move into our new headquarters
Contributed by: Daniel Smith/YourHub.com   on 8/4/2006

Our new digs are almost ready.

YourHub.com, along with the Rocky Mountain News and Denver Post, are moving into new $100 million headquarters at 101 W. Colfax. On Aug. 3, many of the employees got a tour of the newly-completed structure at Colfax and Broadway. YourHub.com, located on the tenth floor, has spectacular views from the new building situated between Civic Center Park, the state Capitol and Denver municipal headquarters.

The Rocky Mountain News reported it appears to be the largest private capital investment by a company in the Denver area. About 1,300 employees both papers and the Denver Newspaper Agency, which runs the business operations, will be moved in by late September.

Editor Travis Henry, and Managing Editor Fairlight Baer took YourHub.com employees on the tour Aug. 3. We viewed our impressive and spacious work spaces on the tenth floor and drank in the views from the patios. Employees were also treated to breakfast for the tour. Everyone seem impressed with the facilities and the planning that went into them. Like other employees, many expressed a "can't wait" feeling about moving in.
