"BATMAN: DARK KNIGHT" TOUTS FAMILY

Never would I have thought a Batman movie would support family values and be subject of this blog, but " BatMan: Dark Knight's" recurring theme is about the good and evil men and women will do or won't do because of family. It's characters aptly describe the Human animal, and particularly the brilliance with which we can be evil or be good.

This being the best-by-far caped crusader movie, I recommend it to anyone over the age of puberty. Below that age, the evil portrayed by the Joker's character ( Heath Ledger) is so believable, the mobsters in comparison, though well-played and illustrated, look like some of the victims. Look for the way the Joker smacks his lips and the sanity of his insanity. Trust me, you will like the inmates, dressed in their orange jump suits, in contrast to the Joker's cold reality.

Heath Ledger may be the first actor in modern movie-making to receive an Oscar post-humously. (Sorry - I don't know if there ever have been others). Apparently, reports say he died shortly after completion of the movie.

Christian Bale played a stunningly effective Batman and it is a 3-way toss-up between him, the Joker, and Aaron Eckhart who played the D.A. Harvey Dent,
as to which character you love or hate the greater of the other two.

Enough said. See it if you dare (and haven't). Be prepared for action and mayhem. You may have to see this movie 3 times to digest it all.
