Surprisingly fun weight loss
Contributed by: Jeff Albright   on 5/28/2008

A day doesn't go by that I am not asked about weight loss. It is not surprising when well over 50% of the population of the United States is overweight. Everyone asks what do you recommend? What do you do??

Of course, you should always consult a physician before beginning any diet or exercise program. For myself and my clients I like to keep things simple, which isn't necessarily easy in our complicated and busy modern lives.

I always look at keeping things as natural as possible. I look at how our ancestors used to live and try to approximate that as best as I can. In our modern society it is sometimes tough to see the wisdom of the ages, but that is where I often turn.

I have written about studies that show that acupuncture is effective in weight loss, as well as overall cleansing. I think we have to approach a challenge from all sides. I often recommend a change in diet, a cleanse, correcting posture, acupuncture and of course an exercise program.

Believe it or not, while in Japan I was shown studies about how improper posture changed the efficiency of nervous system, which had deleterious effects on every function of your body including biochemistry. Posture in Japan is a big deal. They understand it is impossible to effectively perform without it.

They actually train kids how to sit, stand and walk appropriately. So, Yes , chiropractic is part of my health and weight maintenance program.

Some studies show that acupuncture can double weight loss and have seen the appetite curbing effect on clients for years! DOUBLE YOUR WEIGHT LOSS!!!!!

When not in doctor mode, I also play sensei(or teacher), teaching aikido, a Japanese martial art here in Castle Rock. I have had several students lose weight just by starting a more rigorous exercise program.

SOME HAVE LOST OVER 30 POUNDS IN A MATTER OF 3 MONTHS!!!
Perhaps, this is just do to they increased aerobic activity, or maybe it's due to the Japanese Yoga Warm Ups which keep the meridians flowing. Either way Students are SURPRISED they've found a FUN way to lose weight.Learn more at CASTLE ROCK AIKIDO.

Of course a support group, a spouse, or friend who is going through the same thing can change results dramatically.
