Blog Entry 10 of 22 Changing My Thinking
I know how to eat healthy, but often make unhealthy choices. And, exercise... what's that? I sporatically exercise and make attempts at eating healthy. That's better than nothing, right? It's a beginning.

A Little Something
Contributed by: Julie Robinson   on 4/12/2006

I decided to eat a little something last night because I was not very hungry for dinner. So, I went to the kitchen and followed my husband, who was supposed to be doing this diet with me. He was in the middle of a loaf of bread spreading on garlic and butter. And, peanuts, and more bread. Was he hungry for that? I hate to be the enforcer. But, he wasn't and said he'd start again tomorrow.

So, lonely doing the diet by myself, I ate a few peanuts, and made nachos and cheese. None of that was very satisfying and not the little something I was really after. And, then this morning, I didn't get to eat my oatmeal and raisins because of having too busy of a morning just getting out the door with a finicky three year old who need catering to on every level. So her private caterer just grabbed a few prunes. Healthy, yes, but no oatmeal and raisins.

So, at lunch I thought I'd make up for it but didn't like the lunch I had ordered at one of my favorite restaurants. Teaches me to get the special instead of the tried and true things I know I like.

I guess I get picky doing this diet. For supper, I'm not going to have just a little something. I'm going to cook something good for both of us while slapping his little food thieving hands. lovingly slapping.
