Gratification is the positive emotional response (happiness) to a fulfilment of desire. I am satisfied when I enjoy priceless God-given things like cinnamon on oatmeal, sunny days, a warm hug, and a spouse who was off-track and readily put back on track by a gentle nudge from me.
