Castle Rock 15th fastest-growing U.S. suburb
Contributed by: Brendan Leonard/YourHub.com   on 7/24/2007

In a Forbes.com story about the fastest-growing suburbs in the U.S. (a link I found via Convivial) posted July 16, four Denver metro area communities made the list, to no surprise around here.

- Castle Rock, No. 15, has nearly doubled in size since 2000, going from 20,907 residents to 39,682.

- Commerce City, No. 16, has gone from a population of 21,437 to 38,887 (and one Major League Soccer team).

- Parker also made the list at No. 27 with a 67.5 percent jump over the past six years.

- Brighton was No. 74.

Here's a link to the full list of the top 100.

Parker also made the Money Magazine list of "Best Places to Live" at number 27. (Louisville, CO. was number 3.) My dear husband's hometown of Laurens, Iowa clocked in at number 13,876th, I believe.
