Blog Entry 2 of 3 The mind? of a writer
Now I finally have time to follow my passion and become a published author. My children all have homes of their own and I am retired. I have completed one novel - "Mirror" and am trying to get it published while working on other books, some articles, and a correspondence writing class to sharpen my skills. Almost everything I see or hear has the potential to become either a story or part of a story. This blog will be the rambling of a woman who has many characters in her mind. There is no way of telling what any of these characters may do. I believe every person has something special about them which should be shouted to the world. I enjoy talking to people about their passion and their lives and am starting to put these human interst stories on YourHub.com.

Am I ready

Today is the big day. This afternoon I will meet with the publisher. I think I have everything ready to go -- notebook, manuscript, plenty of pens and pencils. I keep reminding myself to stay calm, listen, and learn. I keep repeating over and over to myself -- Do not get defensive when she suggests changes. After all this is the first book I have completed and I hold it close to my heart. I know her suggestions for changes will make the book better and will help me get it published and on the shelves. I want to go into a store and pick up a book I have written. My daughter keeps telling me to breathe. I have to remember -- God gave me the talent to write this book. He will also see that it gets published at the right time and in the right place. Only three hours to wait.

I hope all went well for you! And you just gotta believe- and I am sure that you are a great writer- it seems that way! I have always wanted to be a writer too... And now thanks to YourHub.com I am a writer~ even if only in my own mind!
