I spend my day perusing headlines across the Web. Like most journalists I'm a news junkie and really can't get enough information about pretty much anything, whether it be sports, investigative news or even celebrity sightings.

But somehow today I keep finding myself surprised at the stories that keep popping up. And each time I find myself muttering, "That's just crazy."

A few examples:

Attorney: Police used 'experiment' to incite Masters confession
This story sounds like it could have come straight from a script out of Law & Order. I spent many years as a criminal justice reporter and I was still mystified at the lengths the police and FBI went through here to perform an "experiment" that just sounds like a really bad idea. It's crazy Itellyou.

A Warning for Property Owners
Greenlee: Trespassers have rights
The short of it: A judge has ordered a couple who has owned property in Boulder County for 23 years to turn over a large chunk over it to another couple who has been trespassing on it for about just as long. Huh? I'm also a bit surprised (or maybe I'm not) at the tone of the comments on the Daily Camera story. Boulder County is where I cut my teeth in journalism and is one of my favorite places in the state. But I know there is always something crazy going on there.

Prize was taken away, 'winner' of home says
This comes straight from the Are you freaking kidding me? category. YourHub.com is associated with the Denver Newspaper Agency so I'll hold my tongue and let you decide for yourself if this is absolutely crazy or not.

Election results are still hours away. At least we can be completely confidant that will come off with no craziness involved.

You're right.....crazy. Maybe I'll move my neighbor's fence over about 20 feet and see if he notices over the next 20 years.....

Give em a house! Kill two birds; give em the landgrabbing lawyer's house! If they get the property, they should have to pay the title holders twenty years worth of back property taxes plus penalties.

I read that story this a.m. about the couple who won the home, and then didn't. My first thought was "you have to be freaking kidding me" They've already hired an attorney. I'm curious to see how this plays out. Can you imagine how they must feel?
