Conscious Evolution and the World Around You.
This blog will discuss the idea of conscious evolution and how world events may impact that personal or global process. It will also discuss clashing cultural aspects and what we can do to see past our differences and work towards acceptance of our fellow human beings.

Ethnocentrism is the concept that one culture is superior to another.
Imagine yourself visiting a country in Asia. If you are visiting that country do you feel like it is wrong they are speaking their language? Is it wrong that they use a different kind of currency? Or that they teach different things in their schools? All these are aspects of Culture. Aspects of culture are learned from birth. There are many things in our own culture that we take for granted because they have always been there our entire lives. There is nothing wrong about a culture being different right?
There is one aspect of culture that we automatically assume goes into the right and wrong category. This aspect is Religion. Religion is just another aspect of culture that is learned from the moment you are born. You are taught to believe whatever you may believe just as you are taught your table manners, or public etiquette.
My question to all of you is why then are we so hung up on who has the right religion? If culture in itself is not a bad thing, then why would religion be? I am not talking about religions where people get killed or hurt each other. I am talking about beliefs that people identify with in their daily life. Who can say who has the right beliefs or religion? Who can say which culture is better then another? Every culture and every religion has it's own set of flaws and its own positive attributes.
What is important is that your belief structure is right for you, not that it is right for the world. I think it is important if we want to learn to get along in this world that we all come to understand that no one person or group can possibly have the right answers. We should respect each others cultures and beliefs. Too many people have been killed from simple disrespect.
