Description:
The Second Fifty Women's Club in The Meadows has been created by and for women who view their second fifty as the best years of their lives. The Club's objectives are to help broaden our circle of friends, expand knowledge of the world around us, and above all, be fun. Women over 50 years of age who are curious about their community, town, state, universe and are interested in meeting other women like themselves, are invited to attend The Second Fifty's meetings which are held from 1 to 3 p.m. on the third Thursday of each month (unless otherwise noted).
August 20, 2009 - 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. - Library tour and lunch. Get a behind-the-scenes tour of the Phillip S. Miller Library. Library staff members will share the inner workings of the library, as well as chat about the many volunteer opportunities available. A lively Q and A session is expected. We'll meet in the library's Castle Rock BankWest Room promptly at 10:30 a.m. and begin the tour from there. The library is located at 100 S.Wilcox Street in Castle Rock. At 11:30 a.m., we'll head across the street to the Union Bistro for lunch. The Union Bistro is located just northwest of the library at 3 Wilcox Street. Please be prepared to pay for your own lunch, beverage and gratuity. Please notify Sandy no later than August 17, if you plan to attend.
