Enjoy a summer evening of stories

Turn off the TV, power down the computer, and come to Kirk Hall on the Douglas County Fairgrounds for a night of storytelling. On Friday evening, July 25, John Stansfield, Joe Hayes, Opalanga Pugh, and Dan McCrimmon will spin yarns from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. and best of all, the event is free.

This is just part of the Rocky Mountain Storytelling Festival. Friday's events are sponsored by Douglas County Libraries and there is no charge that day. Here's a look at the schedule:

· 10 a.m. Registration begins at Kirk Hall on the Douglas County Fairgrounds

· 11 a.m. and 12:45 p.m. Storytelling & music concerts for school groups and families

· 2:00 - 3:30 pm. Colorado Living History Concert

· 5:30 p.m. Brown Bag Supper Swap - bring your supper and a story to tell, or just come and listen

· 7:00 p.m. - 9:30 p.m. A Summer Evening of Stories

The Rocky Mountain Storytelling Festival also offers Saturday workshops for adults and children. For information on these classes, college credit, fees for the Saturday events and more, please contact John Stansfield at 303-660-5849.
