People who inspired you (and how): President John F. Kennedy and the rest of the Kennedy family. Their commitment to public service led me in my career path.
How you have contributed to the community: For ten years I have been a member of the Douglas County Search and Rescue Team, a certified Mountain rescue team.
What are the biggest issues facing your constituency now: Lack of Green industries in the county. In these austere times the non-residential tax base needs to be increased. Alternative energy resources are lacking. Douglas County is a prime location for Solar and Wind projects. Protection of our open space areas and preservation of our rural environment are a necessity.
