Hundreds of Douglas County art lovers have enjoyed "Romancing the Arts," the third annual juried art exhibit by the Greater Castle Rock Art Guild, at the Philip S. Miller Library in Castle Rock.
At the opening reception Feb. 10, visitors were treated to art demonstrations in a number of disciplines by community artists as well as the 104 works of art displayed. The work judged 'best of show' was a painting by
Carol Nelson titled "Influence of Principles." Other judged winners included, in two-dimensional art:

Besides additional future exhibits, Second Saturday is the title of town art walks that are planned with local businesses in May, June, July and August in Castle Rock. The more than 150 members of the guild welcome new artists and meet every third Thursday at Castle View High School, 5254 N. Meadows Drive, Castle Rock from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
