Sheep "chip" bingo goes public

Sheep "Chip" Bingo... interesting story. Come to the 4th of July festivities at Rhyolite Region Park and make sure to visit the DCHS Varsity Coed cheerleader's booth.

The cheerleaders will be selling one square yard plots on a football field among other fun things. Why you ask, because on September 12th just prior to the DCHS homecoming game versus Doherty High School a sheep will be let loose on the practice football field. When the sheep makes a "solid" deposit, the person owning the lucky plot will win $1,000. Who couldn't use an extra $1,000!

Douglas County High School Varsity Coed cheerleaders Katie Wilson and Rachael Weatherly promoted their fundraiser this past Friday by making an appearance on The Big Fat Radio Show with Sean Rima at the Castle Rock Radio Station.

Mr. Rima, a nationally known radio broadcast personality, is currently on air with his Castle Rock Radio show and with Denver's and Los Angeles' largest talk radio stations. To find out more about Castle Rock's very own voice for the community and to hear Mr. Rima's radio show (Monday - Friday from 2:00pm to 5:00pm), visit www.castlerockradio.com.

In addition to the Sheep "Chip" Bingo fundraiser, the DCHS Varsity Coed Cheerleaders will also be sponsoring the Huskies Spirit Golf Classic to be held on August 16th at the Red Hawk Ridge Golf Course. If you are an avid golfer, or not, pick up a flyer at the cheerleader's booth on the 4th. If you would like more information contact Karyn Mahagan at 303 907-0561 or email HuskieSpiritGolf@yahoo.com.

If you are unable to attend the Rhyolite Regional Park for the fourth of July celebration and you would still like to get in on the chance to win $1,000, email cindyweatherly@msn.com and we will get you hooked up! Funds raised for the Sheep "Chip" Bingo fundraiser and for the Huskies Spirit Golf Classic will go towards helping the cheerleaders with travel expenses to Nationals in Orlando,Florida in February 2009.

Great story Cindy. A perfect way to get the word out of what our DC Cheerleaders are working towards. What a thrill for them to be on The Big Fat Radio Show with Sean Rima on Castle Rock Radio.com. We wish the D.C.Varsity Co-ed Cheerleaders much success with thier upcoming fundraisers. A proud supporter of the Douglas County Cheerleaders.
