Mail-In Ballots Drop at Post Office Oct. 9

Only registered voters can request a mail-in ballot

Douglas County will drop approximately 88,000 mail-in ballots at the post office on Thursday, Oct. 9 to be mailed to registered voters who applied for a mail-in ballot prior to Sept. 30.

Registered voters who do not receive their mail-in ballot by Oct. 20 should contact the Elections Office at 303.660.7444.

The last day to register to vote in the 2008 General Election was Oct. 6. Only those who registered by that date can still apply for a mail-in ballot before Tuesday, Oct. 28 and have it mailed to the address listed on their registration form. Mail-in ballots will continue to be mailed out daily as additional requests come in through the Oct. 28 deadline.

Registered voters may still request a mail-in ballot after Oct. 28 until Oct. 31, but they must visit the Elections Office at 301 Wilcox St. in Castle Rock to pick it up.

Mail-in ballots may be dropped off at any of the eight drop off locations listed online at DouglasVotes.com before Tuesday, Nov. 4 at 7 p.m.

The Mail-in Ballot Application form, mail-in ballot drop off locations, as well as other General Election information, is available online at DouglasVotes.com. Avoid lines on Election Day by voting by mail or voting early from Oct. 20-30.
