I wanted to ask Dot and anyone else who might have knowledge of horseback riding lessons.
My daughter would really like to learn how to ride a horse, and about horses in general.
Does anyone know of a good place to go for horseback riding lessons?
I have looked into a few places but just by asking through word of mouth I have not heard anything, good or bad, about any of these places.
Any ideas or recommendations would be really helpful!

Dot and Danette, There are several good trainers in the Castle Rock area. I would make one recommendation for you (or anyone interested in riding lessons) and that would be to make sure you use a trainer that starts your daughter out on the ground. Your daughter should learn the basics of horse care and grooming before getting on the horse. She will learn the responsibilities associated with the pleasures of owning a horse. She will also learn to respect horses for not only their beauty but also their power and strength. My daughter has been riding for 8 years now and still loves the horse and work involved. If you are interested I am sure she would love to meet informally with you and your daughter. You could meet her horse Jack and spend a few minutes deciding if you want to continue down the horse road. Good luck in your search for riding lessons.
