Sheriff’s office to host first “Ask A Cop” event
Contributed by: Douglas County Sheriffs Office on 3/26/2008

The Douglas County Sheriff's Office will host the first "Ask A Cop" event, answering questions and visiting with the community, at four Douglas County locations.

Sheriff's Office deputies will be on hand to answer questions, talk to the public and hand out resource and crime prevention information. This event will be held on Wednesday, April 2, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the following locations:

Safeway at Broadway/Highlands Ranch Parkway, 9255 S. Broadway
Safeway in Roxborough, 8355 N. Rampart Range Road
Safeway in Castle Pines, 560 Castle Pines Parkway
King Soopers on Red Cedar Dr. in Highlands Ranch, 4000 Red Cedar Drive

"This event is very important to the Sheriff's Office. We take pride in building a strong relationship with our community and we look forward to fostering that relationship with this new innovative program. This event gives the general public an opportunity to stop and talk to a deputy sheriff in a non adversarial situation", stated Sheriff Dave Weaver.

Come out and meet the same deputies that patrol your neighborhood 24 hours a day. There will also be a special "Crime Prevention Hero" making the rounds and handing out goodies for the kids.
