Douglas Composite Squadron of the Civil Air Patrol, the official United States Air Force Auxiliary, is conducting an Open House meeting on Monday the 19 th of March. Civil Air Patrol membership is open to young people between the ages of 12 and 17, for participation in the Cadet Program; and membership for adults age 18 and older, as officers involved with all of Civil Air Patrol's missions, Aerospace Education, Emergency Services, and the Cadet Program.
Civil Air Patrol (CAP) is the official United States Air Force Auxiliary and is a civilian, nonprofit organization performing missions for America. Cadets receive the opportunity to learn about air and space craft, fly CAP aircraft, develop leadership skills, participate in search and rescue training and missions, increase physical fitness, and participate in various summer activities within a military style structure. Parents and adults can be involved as officers leading and teaching the cadets and participating as your interests apply in emergency service operations and aerospace.
