Cornerstone Church abandons the trailer!
Contributed by: John Simpson on 9/4/2007

Many new churches are "Portable Churches" - they rent a facility and need to set it up every Sunday. For most, the routine is like this:

Pick up the trailer at the storage lot. Drive to the meeting place. Unload the carts. Set up the lobby. Set up the Nursery. Set up the class rooms. Set up the signage. Set up the Sound System. Set up the Worship area. Set up the café.

Have a church service.

Pack up the café. Pack up the Worship area. Pack up the Sound System. Pack up the signage. Pack up the class rooms. Pack up the Nursery. Pack up the lobby. Load up the carts. Drive the trailer to the storage lot.
Repeat each Sunday for a few years.

Stop.

Pick up the trailer at the storage lot. Drive to new permanent church facility. Unload the carts. Set up the lobby. Set up the Nursery. Set up the class rooms. Set up the signage. Set up the Sound System. Set up the café. Drive the trailer to the storage lot. Leave it there.

Enjoy.

Cornerstone Community Church in Castle Rock is enjoying their new facility at 809 Park Street as they transition out of the "portable church" phase of their growth. Pastor Brian Riskey appreciates the ministry opportunities that are available with a facility.
