March 9 All That Jazz

4:00 pm in the Sanctuary

Jazz piano concert featuring Music Director Kathy Mordeaux on the Steinway Grand. A jazz musician and scholar of exceptional insight, Kathy's schedule allows little time for the genre. Insiders will rejoice that she has agreed to create and perform this first-of-its-kind event.

The program is constructed of George Gershwin music, transcriptions of jazz piano pieces by Duke Ellington and 'Fats' Waller, sophisticated jazz arrangements by contemporary composers including Mark Hayes and Larry Shackley, as well as Ms. Mordeaux's own interpretations of such jazz standards as String of Pearls, The Saints, St. Louis Blues, Stormy Weather, and more.

April 19 Evensong and Pipe Organ Concert

5:00 pm in the Historic Stone chapel

Traditional Choral Evensong followed by a half-hour celebration of some of the best in pipe organ music.
