Grace Chapel youth missionaries return home
Contributed by: Michael Robinson on 6/30/2005

Castle Rock, 6/29/2005 - Seven 8th and 9th graders from the Youth Group of Grace Chapel-Castle Rock have returned from an exciting 6 day Mission trip to downtown Denver.    The party consisted of Austin Jackson, Tristan Faletra, Jan Wilkins, Lindsey Wilkins, Joe Faletra, Holly Stimson, Youth Pastor Brian Decker, Josh Chang and Daniel Fickle.

While on the Missionary trip the group stayed on the Colorado Christian University campus.  The group worked with the Christ Body Ministries feeding the homeless, cleaning up the grounds and administering Bible Study.  The group also worked at the Juliet Temple Center working with mentally disabled and Alzheimer patients.  Youth Pastor Brian Decker stated " The Kids were amazing.  They served sacrificially without complaining."

Grace Chapel's Head Pastor Tom Wilkins explained that this was the entry level of Mission work performed by Grace church members.  Later this summer Grace will send a second group of older adolescents to Oaxaca, Mexico to perform Mission work in Southern Mexico.   These students successfully completed the Downtown Denver Mission trip previously.  Pastor Wilkins noted that Grace Chapel supports Mission work in Japan, South Africa and soon Haiti in addition to the Oaxaca Mission.

Grace Chapel is located at 935 Evalena Road, Castle Rock, CO 80108 just north of Home Depot on the north end of Castle Rock.  Their phone number is 303-660-8011.  You may visit them on the web at www.gc-cr.org .  Grace Chapel - Castle Rock holds two Sunday services, at 9 AM and 1030 AM.
