In the 1950's Dr. Seuss was challenged to write a book that "first graders wouldn't be able to put down."

The Cat in the Hat was the result of this challenge and Random House published this well loved story in 1954. We are now celebrating the 50th birthday of The Cat in the Hat. Join us on March 2nd, Dr. Seuss's birthday, to hear a reading of The Cat in the Hat.

Dr. Darrin Robertson will share this book in his best read aloud voice followed by a coloring contest and wholesome snacks for the kids.
