On July 19, wine lovers will have the chance to "tour" Colorado wineries at one convenient location.
The fifth annual Castle Rock WineFest, an outdoor wine tasting with three pre-event winemaker dinners on July 14, 16 and 18, will bring more than 24 wineries and over 160 varieties of Colorado wine to The Grange in The Meadows.
Castle Rock Bank and Castle Rock Development Company, Title Sponsors of the Castle Rock Chamber of Commerce WineFest, are sponsoring this popular event.
The main event, the Grand Tasting on Saturday, July 19, from noon to 6 p.m., draws several thousand wine aficionados for its tastings, free wine seminars, demonstrations by celebrity chefs, food and entertainment. Each attendee will receive a free wine bottle tote and wine glass while supplies last.
Thank you to WineFest corporate sponsors Key Bank, Aquila, Colorado Community Newspapers, Douglas County Living Magazine, FirstBank of Douglas County, Grand Lodge at Peak 7, Pinnacol Assurance and Pure Water Solutions.
A special thank you to Sandstone American Ranch for serving as the VIP Lounge sponsor, a new accommodation this at this year's WineFest. For details about ticket purchase, participating wineries, scheduled activities, and directions and parking, visit

Doug Caskey
, Executive Director of the Colorado Wine Development Board, said "Colorado wines have recently won numerous gold and double gold medals in International Eastern Wine Competition, Tasters Guild and many other major wine competitions. National wine writers who have traveled through Colorado's wine country over the past year have been surprised and amazed at the quality of wines Colorado has to offer. Wine festivals, such as the very well-run Castle Rock WineFest, are a great chance to taste for yourself."
The Colorado Wine Board has chosen the Castle Rock WineFest as only one of five sanctioned wine festivals in the state.
The Grange at The Meadows is located at 3692 Meadows Boulevard and, in partnership with the Castle Rock Development Company, has served as the location sponsor and host of the Wine Master Dinner at The Grange (Friday July 18) since the inception of the WineFest.
The winemaker dinner at Augustine Grill on July 16, with pairings of select wines with the upscale restaurant's signature dishes, will be hosted by FastFrame of Castle Rock and Greenwood Village and Skyline Glass. Another winemaker dinner is being planned for July 14 at La Dolce Vita Italian Restaurant located at 361 Village Square Lane off Castle Pines Parkway, due to the tremendous demand for reservations last year.
Modern vineyards feature the classic European wine grape varieties and once again the art of wine making is thriving in Colorado. Most of the participating wineries are small, family-owned estates that have earned a reputation for creating a wide variety of premium wines.
From deep merlots and expressive chardonnays to elegant Rieslings and cabernets, Colorado wines consistently win top national and international awards.
