Worship services at 8:00 and 11:00 am commemorate the Resurrection;
Family brunch and Easter Egg hunt start at 9:30
CASTLE ROCK - Christ is risen! You're invited to celebrate the resurrection at Christ's Episcopal Church on Easter Sunday.
We will offer two Festive Eucharist services: one at 8:00 am and another at 11:00 am. All ages are invited to our brunch, which will begin at 9:30. The food at our festivities is simply too good to label "potluck" - come see for yourself -- and bring a dish to share!
Our Easter Egg hunt for children will also begin at 9:30. So come celebrate the joy of the resurrection and enjoy some good food while your children and grandchildren seek and find their eggs. We are located at 615 Fourth Street, between Cantril and Lewis, in historic Castle Rock. At Christ's Church, we offer a tradition-based observation of Holy Week, including the following:
· Eucharist services
Monday through
Wednesday
· Maundy Thursday: the commemoration of the Last Supper, Holy Eucharist and foot washing, stripping of the altar, Procession of the Pre-Sanctified to the Garden and subsequent garden vigil;
· Good Friday: Mass of the Pre-Sanctified, TreOre and Tenebrae services and
· Holy Saturday: morning prayer
...all leading to Sunday's Easter celebration. The entire Holy Week schedule may be seen at
