Led by Fire Engine #36, monsters like Elmo, witches, super heroes, rock stars, princesses, cuddly animals and many more characters stormed the streets of Winter Berry Village on Saturday, October 22 for a Halloween Parade!
Over 200 children and adults basked in the warm October sun and participated in a variety of “tricks and treats.” They created their own masks, designed their own jack-o-lanterns, decorated cookies, received glittery tattoos and even bobbed for apples!
The firefighters of Station #36 were on hand to give tours of their fire truck, and they were met by a few young admirers who came dressed as their heroes. The fire truck’s arrival was even greeted by the crowd’s cheer of “Ya-hoo!”
This was the 1st Annual Halloween Parade and gathering for the residents of WinterBerryVillage in Castle Pines North. It was a chance for neighbors from every street to get to know one another, and, of course, for the kids to wear their cool costumes as much as possible before Halloween!
