Contributed by: Douglas County on 6/27/2006

Looking for something to do this Fourth of July? Look no further than the Douglas County Fairgrounds, and get ready for a grand afternoon of fun and games, spectacular, continuous live entertainment, food, drink, and more! The gates open at 4p.m. Don't be late, or you will miss the grand opening ceremonies, with the Air Force Color Guard and a jet fighter flying over at 4:15. p.m.

After that, let the festivities begin! This is what you have been waiting for, and you will not be disappointed. Stay in town and enjoy the great music, check out the newest motorcycles, vote for your favorite car in the car show, or watch a Taekwondo exhibition and see what all the excitement is about. Plan on staying until 10 p.m., because you will not want to miss the spectacular fireworks! The fireworks will be a grand way to top off the days fun and festivities! Feel the beat of the two bands, and move to the music. Absorb the aromas of the variety of foods, feel the excitement of the crowd, and you will have an unmatched, and unforgettable funfest for all to enjoy.

The Liberty Festival is free to all, thanks to the generous contributions of our sponsors. See you at the Liberty Festival!

The Douglas County Fairgrounds are at 500 Fairgrounds Drive, in Castle Rock, just off of Plum Creek Parkway. Parking will be available at the fairgrounds. There will bleachers in front of the main stage area, and plenty of space if you decide to bring your own chair to catch the live entertainment. Coors and Budweiser will be available to those who can prove their age.
