Seven seniors awarded Administrative Scholarships
District administrators awarded seven graduating seniors with Administrative Scholarships in the amount of $1,000. The scholarships began in 1988 and are given on the basis of academic merit and financial need. They are made possible through individual contributions from administrators and staff of DCSD.

Vicky Nelson
, Chaparral High School. Vicky is in marching band, a peer counselor and helps run the adaptive physical education program unified basketball and soccer teams. Vicky plans to attend CU and focus on special education.
*Maura Williams
, Douglas County High School. Maura runs cross country and has a goal to promote literacy in youth. Maura plans to attend CU to study business and library science.

Kelly McManamon
, Eagle Academy. A diligent, self-reliant and purposeful student, she plans to attend Arapahoe Community College.

Andrew Farris
, Highlands Ranch High School. Andrew loves hockey and architecture. Andrew will be attending Rensselaer Polytechnic in New York.

Katie Lewis
, Mountain Vista High School. Katie is involved in music, swimming and theater. She is attending the University of Rochester, Eastman School of Music to focus on opera.

Kelsey Krauss
, Ponderosa High School. Kelsey is involved in student council and has a passion for dance. She plans to attend CSU.

Brandon Lindemann,
Rock Canyon High School. Brandon was one of the captains of the football team and also played baseball. Brandon will be attending Brigham Young University for Engineering.

Andrew Holcombe
, ThunderRidge High School. Andrew is active in national honor society and involved in performing arts. Andrew will attend UNC Greeley for music education.
