It's a quilt show you'll never forget. A Harvest of Quilts is coming to the Philip S. Miller Library (100 S. Wilcox St., Castle Rock) Friday, October 3 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Saturday, October 4 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. More than a hundred quilted items will be on display including large quilts, lap quilts, wall hangings, quilted art, and clothing. The Castle Rock Quilt Club sponsors the free event every two years and had more than a thousand people attend in 2006. The purpose of the show is to encourage and inspire quilt making. There will be demonstrations for paper piecing, handwork, and a method to quilt as you sew so the project is finished when your last block is assembled. On Friday, Carolyn McCormick, author of four quilting books, will demonstrate her methods and products.
