Skateboard deck art contest
Contributed by: Kristin Hayek on 9/26/2008

Not all art is found in a museum. Art is in the streets, and in some cases, under your feet. Show us how creative you are by picking up a skateboard deck in the Aloha Teen Tower at the Philip S. Miller Library (100 S. Wilcox St., Castle Rock, 303-791-READ, DouglasCountyLibraries.org) and design your own piece of deck art! Teens will decide the winners, and the top five entries will be displayed in the Aloha Teen Tower for one year.

October 1-31 Pick up a skateboard deck to decorate at the Philip S. Miller Library.
November 1-31 Stop by the library to vote for your favorite deck.
December 6 The top five decks will be announced.
