New local meetup group 4 Ron Paul supporters!
Contributed by: Catherine Bird on 9/4/2007

That's right! As of Aug. 29, 2007, MeetUp.com lists a new local group of supporters of Ron Paul for the 2008 Republican Presidential nomination, started by Todd Chapple of Littleton.

Come get actively involved in local & national politics by working to support Ron Paul's bid for the Presidency in 2008! This is your chance to meet other Ron Paul activists and brainstorm ways this grassroots group can bring about positive change in our American government.

Interested parties are invited to participate in the Highlands Ranch Colorado Ron Paul MeetUp Group. To sign up for this new group, go to their MeetUp.com page, and--if already a MeetUp.com member--sign in via the link in the top right corner of the page.

If you're not a MeetUp member yet, you may register with MeetUp.com and sign up for this group simultaneously by using the "Register" link next to the "sign in" link. Registration for MeetUp.com and membership in the Highlands Ranch Colorado Ron Paul MeetUp Group are both FREE.

9/8/07 UPDATE: FIRST MEETUP LOCATION!
The first MeetUp date will occur Saturday, Sept. 15 at 7 pm. at Todd Chappel's residence. The address can be found on the Highlands Ranch Colorado Ron Paul 2008 MeetUp Group Site, and is available to all members. Once you register with MeetUp.com and join the group, you can "rsvp" to the group leader whether you can attend.

Sadly, Castle Rock does not yet have its own Ron Paul MeetUp group. However, starting a MeetUp group is very easy--just remember though, whoever starts the group is the designated organizer. Most people prefer to attend group meetings rather than organize them! If this is you, the Highland Ranch group is the closest Ron Paul group this author is aware of.

Don't know much about Ron Paul? Here's the "skinny" on this Republican U.S. Congressman from Texas. He's not your typical politician, nor is he a typical Republican! In fact, Ron Paul is all about supporting and promoting our U.S. Constitution, while holding solid beliefs in non-interventionism--which means he is against U.S. involvement in the affairs of foreign nations.

Ron Paul's Congressional voting record speaks for itself--each piece of legislation must be examined for its constitutionality; that is, on the basis of whether or not the US Constitution allows the Congress or the Federal Government to engage in the actions described by the proposed legislation. If the Constitution does not allow it, then Ron Paul opposes the bill.

Get more information about Ron Paul on his official presidential campaign Website, and his MySpace page. Then, watch some of his campaign speeches posted on YouTube.com.

If you like Ron Paul, join our Highlands Ranch Colorado Ron Paul 2008 MeetUp Group, and help us make him our next U.S. President!
