Blotter: Roommate drama leads to broken TV

Castle Rock Police

MAN BUSTED FOR MARIJUANA POSSESSION
A 51-year-old Castle Rock man was issued a summons for possession of marijuana at his apartment April 1. Police were dispatched at 8:05 p.m to the man's apartment on the 300 block of East Allen Street on a noise complaint. An officer noticed the smell of marijuana coming from his apartment and asked if he could take a look inside. The man complied and the officer found a large amount of compressed marijuana sitting on the counter. When the officer told the man what he found, the man replied, "Oh yeah, I forgot about that."

ROOMMATE DRAMA
A 21-year-old Castle Rock woman was issued a summons April 2 on suspicion of damaging private property after she allegedly trashed her roommate's belongings. Police were called at 7:24 p.m. to an apartment complex on the 6000 block of Castlegate Drive on a report of a noise complaint. An officer spoke with a 22-year-old woman who stated she kicked out her 21-year-old roommate that night after she found her smoking a cigarette in the apartment. The 21-year-old became extremely upset and began destroying her roommate's personal belongings, among them, a television and a DVD player.

Douglas County Sheriff's Office

TEACHER CITED FOR THEFT
A 48-year-old Highlands Ranch woman who teaches at Highlands Ranch High School was cited for shoplifting from a grocery store April 9. A security guard at King Soopers, 9551 S. University Blvd., told deputies that he stopped the woman after she exited the store without paying for several items, including a DVD and cigarettesand chocolate milk. The woman said she wasn't feeling well and didn't mean to take the items.

BEAMS STOLEN FROM CONSTRUCTION SITE
Seventy-two aluminum concrete shoring beams worth approximately $21,000 were stolen from a construction site near County Line Road and Erickson Boulevard sometime between April 2 and 7.

DUMPSTER SET ON FIRE
A dumpster was set on fire at 8:45 p.m. April 7 at Cresthill Middle School, 9145 Cresthill Lane, in Highlands Ranch. Littleton Fire helped put the fire out. The loss was estimated at $300.

STOLEN CAR LOCATED
Deputies located a 28-year-old Parker woman's car after it had been stolen from her driveway April 5. Deputies were called at 11:19 p.m. to a house on the 5300 block of Ben Park Circle on a report of a car that had just been stolen. Deputies patrolled the area, but didn't find the car. The woman told deputies she left the keys in the ignition. The car was later found parked in front of Parker Fire Station #76, 6120 Bridle Path Lane. No damage was done and nothing appeared to be missing.

LONE TREE MAN ARRESTED AT LODO'S
A 39-year-old Lone Tree man was arrested at Lodo's Bar and Grill, 8545 S. Quebec St., on April 4 on suspicion of disorderly conduct and harassment. The manager of the bar told deputies the man was kicked out earlier that night for being unruly and attempted to start a fight with some of the staff members outside. After he was arrested, the man stated he had consumed approximately 12 beers that night.
