Family Visit Leads to Arrest
At 2 p.m. on Oct. 6, police received a report of a trespass violation from a woman in the 3000 block of W. Deer Creek Trail in Littleton. The woman told police her son came to her house unwanted, and that he smelled of alcohol.
Officers found that the man had an outstanding protection order against him on a third party not present in the home, and that he was in violation of a no-alcohol provision of his protection order. Police arrested the man and transported him to the Douglas County Jail. On the way to the jail, the man yelled and cursed at officers, and threatened to attack an officer.
Plywood Stolen, Loss Totaling $2,750
On Oct. 6 at 9:14 a.m., officers responded to a report of a theft at Edward Kraemer and Construction, 900 N. Wilcox St., Castle Rock. Workers told police they noticed 2 and a half bunks containing 40 sheets each of plywood missing and a large hole cut in a nearby chain-link fence when they arrived for work at 6:30 a.m. They estimate the loss to total close to $2,750.
Streetlight Shot With Rifle
At 2 a.m. on Oct. 4, police received a report that a streetlight in the 10600 block of Cottoneaster Way in Parker had been shot at with a rifle. A resident living across the street from the light, told police she saw a white sedan with two passengers pull up alongside the light. She said the passenger of the sedan held what appeared to be a rifle out the passenger-side window as he shot the street light. The sedan then proceeded to drive east on Cottoneaster Way. The woman did not get a license number, or a full description of the sedan.
ATV Stolen From Yard
On Oct. 5 at 12:33 p.m., police were dispatched to a home at the 11000 block of Wildfield Lane in Littleton on a report of a theft. Homeowners told police they noticed their ATV missing from their backyard at ll:a.m. They told police the ATV was easily visible from Highway 85, and they believe it could be seen by drivers 200 to 300 yards away.
They told police they last saw the ATV on Oct. 1, and that they heard nothing suspicious at night between Oct. 1 and Oct. 5.
Wallet Stolen at Conference
At 12:45 p.m. on Oct. 2, police received a report of a theft at the Denver Marriott South at 10345 Park Meadows Drive, Littleton. The victim told police she was attending a conference for her employer when they broke for lunch at 10 a.m. She said she took cash from her purse and left it on the floor near her seat as she went to lunch. When she returned from lunch, she noticed her wallet missing. The wallet contained $35 cash, three credit cards and one debit card. At 1:15, the woman's credit card company confirmed one of her cards had been used at an unknown gas station.
iPhone Stolen From Gym Locker
On Sept. 16, at 8:30 a.m., police were called to RockCanyonHigh School at 5810 McArthur Ranch in Highlands Ranch on a report of a theft. The victim told officers she discovered her iPhone missing from her gym locker room after attending an hour long gym class from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. She told police the iPhone was stored in her backpack and she left the backpack on a bench in the locker room. The iPhone is valued at $500.
