Suspicious vehicle behind store.
At 10:18 a.m. Aug. 4, officers were dispatched to Angels From Heaven, 937 Park St., Castle Rock on a report of a suspicious vehicle. The reporting party told officers they observed a man park his van behind the store, get out and attempt to open two store doors. Officers stopped the van and arrested the driver, a 49-year-old man, on suspicion of possessing marijuana.
Woman shocked by toilet papering.
A 42-year-old woman was surprised to discover her home and landscaping covered in toilet paper at 11:20 p.m. Aug. 4. The woman said her home, located on the 7000 block of Sapphire Pointe Blvd., Castle Rock, was in normal condition at 11 p.m., but when she went out to her driveway 20 minutes later, toilet paper was on all of her trees in the front yard and on the south side of her property.
Wheel capers.
The 50-year-old owner of Willcox Automotive reported a theft at Willcox Automotive, 501 South St., Castle Rock, at 7:06 a.m. Aug. 3. The man told officers someone took the right rear tire rim, five lug nuts and hubcap from his 1996 Dodge Caravan. The estimated loss is $205.
Car bandits head to Blackhawk.
A 48-year-old Castle Rock man reported a theft from his car parked in an unlocked garage at his home on the <CF12>3500 block of Tribute Place, Castle Rock on Aug. 3. Among the stolen items were a debit card, which officers were able to trace two charges to a casino in Blackhawk. Other vehicle trespasses and thefts were reported in the area on the same day.
