Castle Rock Police: Unfinished work costs $700


Wallet taken from grocery cart. A 49-year-old woman discovered her wallet missing from her grocery cart in the parking lot at King Soopers, 100 Founders Parkway , Castle Rock, at 6:50 p.m. Aug. 31. The woman told Castle Rock Police officers someone took her wallet from the cart while her back was turned.

Unfinished business costs $700. At 8 a.m. Aug. 31, a 36-year-old man reported a theft of $700 to the Castle Rock Police Department. The man told officers a private contractor at his home on the 6500 block of Esmeralda Drive, Castle Rock, took his payment check stored on a desk before finishing the work.

Cell phone taken at soccer practice. A 17-year-old boy reported his cell phone stolen to the Castle Rock Police Department at 9:06 a.m. Aug. 31 from the boy's locker room at CastleView High School, 5254 Meadows Drive , Castle Rock. The phone is valued at $250.
