Castle Rock Police: The case of the missing stairs


The case of the missing stairs. At 9:52 a.m. Sept. 25, Castle Rock Police officers were dispatched to a home on the 2800 block of Open Sky Way, Castle Rock, on a report of a theft. A 61-year-old man with Richmond Homes, said an interior staircase had been stolen from one of his project homes. It is valued at $250.

$3,700 welder stolen. At 7:57 a.m. Sept. 26, Castle Rock Police officers responded to a construction site at 2420 Autumn Sage St., Castle Rock, on a report of a burglary. A 50-year-old man told officers someone broke into his property by cutting a chain off a gate. Two welders were taken from the site.

$50 cash taken at Walmart. At 9 p.m. Sept. 28, a 60-year-old Larspur woman told Castle Rock Police she was shopping at Walmart, 4400 Front St., Castle Rock, when she left her purse in a grocery cart. She returned for the purse, but it was no longer in the cart. At noon Sept. 29, a couple returned the purse to Castle Rock Police, but the woman said $50 was still missing from her wallet.
