Alternative Energy Conference open to all


Would you like to learn more about wind energy, wind development, carbon financial credits and home energy windbreaks? Register now for the Alternative Energy Conference scheduled for Saturday, November 14 th at the Douglas County Events Center in Castle Rock. Mike Kostrzewa from Colorado State University in Fort Collins will speak on wind energy and wind turbines, Colorado Department of Agriculture Commissioner John Stulp will give a presentation on Wind Development, large or small for farmers and ranchers. Dan Pauley, CSU Extension in Jefferson County, will talk about how carbon credits can financially benefit you.

Cost for the program is $20 per person. Classes begin at 9:00 am with a continental breakfast preceding. Lunch is provided at noon and will conclude the program. The Douglas County Soil Conservation District will have a home energy windbreak display at the conference. A registration flyer can be sent via email, fax, or postal mail. Registration deadline is Monday, November 9, 2009.
