Information on building permits and inspections as well as on contractors registered with the Town of Castle Rock now can be accessed via the Town's Web site.
The Town launched the service, called eTRAKiT, last week. It allows site users to check whether a contractor is registered; schedule an inspection and research the status of inspections; and determine whether a permit has been issued at an address. Access is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Users must create a sign-in at
https://www.CRgov.com/etrakit to access the features, which are part of the state-of-the-art community development software the Town implemented last year.
The TRAKiT software's functions include land-use, permitting, business licensing, contractor registration and overall project management. The Development Services, Public Works, Utilities, Fire, Legal and Parks and Recreation departments use the program to track projects.
Soon, eTRAKiT users also will be able to obtain and pay for residential air conditioner, furnace, water heater and re-roof/roof repair permits.
