Organizations from Douglas County intending to apply for approximately $800,000 in Community Development Block Grant (CBDG) funds for the 2010 program year will benefit from a workshop designed to provide valuable guidance and technical assistance for first-time applicants as well as previous applicants for Douglas County CDBG funds.
The workshop will be held on Friday, December 4, in the Douglas County Administration Building, conference room A & B, 100 Third Street, Castle Rock. The day begins with sign-in at 8:30 a.m., followed by training from 9:00 - 11:30 a.m.
To be eligible for funding under the CDBG Program an applicant can be a non-profit agency, housing authority, local governmental agency or quasi governmental agency.
CDBG Funds are available to support development of viable communities through Public Services, Public Facilities, Affordable Housing and Infrastructure, and must benefit low-and-moderate-income Douglas County residents.
