Holiday crackdown leads to 12 DUI arrests

Douglas County Sheriff David A. Weaver was very pleased to hear that the"Office Holiday Party" weekend turned out to be a safe time around the county.

The Douglas County Sheriff's Office hosted a Metro DUI Task Force Operation (Office Holiday Party Weekend) on Dec. 14.

The Task Force consisted of deputies, officers and troopers from Douglas County Sheriff's Office, Arapahoe County Sheriff's Office, Northglenn Police Department, Wheat Ridge Police Department and the Colorado State Patrol.

The saturation patrol concentrated on roadways within the county that had been identified as problem areas for accidents and high incidents of DUI arrests. The combined efforts of these agencies resulted in a total of 170 vehicles checked and 12 arrested for DUI/DUID.
