Castle Rock Police: Jewelry store burglarized


Jewelry store burglarized. At 5:24 p.m. Oct. 28, Castle Rock Police officers responded to a report of a burglary at Zales Jewelry Store, 5050 Factory Shops Blvd., Castle Rock. Dispatch reported two people inside the store breaking glass cases and taking jewelry. When officers arrived, no one was in the store, glass cases were broken and several items were missing.


Prescription fraud. Castle Rock Police officers responded to a report of prescription fraud at Walmart, 4400 Front St., Castle Rock, at 11:19 a.m. Oct. 24. A 29-year-old woman was attempting to fill a prescription for Percocet. It was discovered she had forged the prescription. The woman also admitted to filling a fraudulant prescription at a Walgreens. She was arrested.


Explosion startles neighborhood. At 6:35 p.m. Oct. 20, Castle Rock Police officers responded to a report of a loud explosion at a home on the 5900 block of Rock Creek Drive, Castle Rock. Upon arrival, officers found an improvised explosive. There were no injuries and only minor damage reported.
