Town of Castle Rock
on 4/4/2007
Longer days and warmer temperatures have the Town of Castle Rock Public Works Department finalizing the 2007 Street Improvement Program (SIP) schedule. The SIP is an annual maintenance program to extend the life of Town streets and ensure they are safe for pedestrian and vehicle traffic.
The SIP occurs in two phases. First, to protect asphalt from pothole-causing sun and water damage, chip-sealing maintenance will begin on designated streets throughout Town. Chip sealing work will occur for several days at each location from mid-April through mid-June.
In the second phase happening later this summer, maintenance crews will return to affected streets to perform followup work such as asphalt patching, overlay, reconstruction or asphalt slurry seal.
The SIP schedule is subject to change in the event of weather delays. Here is a list of affected areas as of late March:

Construction hours are generally 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Affected streets may be off limits to through traffic during construction, but access to homes will be maintained at all times.
