Wolfensberger exit to remain closed until Oct. 5
Contributed by: CDOT on 9/8/2007

The ramp from Wolfensberger Road/Wilcox Street to northbound Interstate 25 will remain closed for reconstruction until Friday, Oct. 5.

The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) decided to keep the ramp closed beyond its original opening date (Sept. 12) due to the short acceleration lane that currently exists, creating a less than optimal condition for merging and through traffic. CDOT anticipates traffic will be in its final alignment through the area on October 5,* allowing the entrance ramps from Wolfensberger Road to northbound AND southbound I-25 to reopen.

DETOURS to I-25: Wilcox Street/Plum Creek Parkway on south end of Castle Rock OR west on Wolfensberger Road to Prairie Hawk Drive, north on Prairie Hawk to Meadows Parkway, east on Meadows to I-25.

NOTE: Oct. 5 is the tentative opening date. Construction activities are resource and weather dependent and dates are subject to change.
