Douglas County emergency hotline information
Contributed by: Jeff Meyers on 12/29/2006

Jeff Meyers, PIO, Douglas County Emergency Management.

OnDec. 29, Douglas County signed a disaster declaration for the winter storm which beganDec. 28. This declaration will allow for continued services both with snow removal and emergency operations as the current system has been taxed. Additionally, the county will be able to seek funding to support these operations.

The Emergency Operations Center for Douglas County will remain open and monitor the storm as needed.

When additional Information is available, it will be released to the community through updated press releases as well as the "Hotline".

Citizens can call the Douglas County Sheriff Hotline to receive updated information about the storm and travel advisories. 303-660-7520 Ext 1. We continue to encourage citizens to tune into local media for weather updates and road closes.
