Nearly every residential street and roadway in Douglas County's jurisdiction is snow-packed and icy and some residential streets are impacted by drainage and/or standing water issues. Douglas County officials - including staff from public works, engineering, County administration and the Commissioners - are aware of residential and rural road conditions and the impact the conditions have on our community.

Crews have been diverted from residential streets to clear arterial and collector routes, with the new snow accumulation. Crews will resume in residential areas as quickly as possible. The potential does exist Friday (Jan. 5) for severe wind gusts, which will result in blowing and drifting snow.

Citizens are encouraged to use the ExpressConnect System to report storm-related issues. Please input as much information as possible, specifically the location of the drainage problem or standing water issue.
