Castle Rock author and photographer G. Daniel Pernell hears that question often when people see his landscape photography. Although his work is by no means confined to Castle Rock or the front range he has captured numerous unique photos in the area.
From time to time area residents may view his work at combined booksigning and photoart presentations such as one held in April at Philip S. Miller Library in Castle Rock. For those seeking an on-line view of Pernell's work, they may visit

for a unique visual experience.
Pernell, a published fiction novelist moved to Castle Rock five years ago from mid-Missouri.
"The photo opportunities afforded in Colorado are second to none in my opinion." states Pernell whose specialty is mountain and waterfront landscapes. "I have the pleasure of providing unique works that have found wall space in banks, office buildings, fine dining restaurants and homes of distinction. I take great pride when anyone chooses to purchase my work. Artists are like a sponge, we constantly need reaffirmation of the quality of our work."
